Eastern Snow and Avalanche Workshop – NTERNATIONAL AVALANCHE SAFETY AWARENESS DAY In Memory of U.S. Ski Team Members Ronnie Berlack and Bryce Astle

Note from Cindy Berlack;

Dear friends,

IN memory of Bryce and Ronnie, there will be a large avalanche event at the Omni Mt. Washington Resort , NH on 11/7.

 I am now sending out notification about this event to any and all people whose lives have been touched by avalanches.
 It would be wonderful if you could forward this to:
ski area season pass offices (who can email it out to their pass holders)
organization membership (which may be interested in avalanche safety or snow sport in general)
friends who are interested, whether they can attend or not.
Any and all US ski team members, or ski racers, are encouraged to attend as it will hold excellent information about how to stay safe in avalanche prone areas.
Thank you so much for your help.

NICKOLAY DODOV FOUNDATION Safety Presentation at Bear Valley Mountain

The Nickolay Dodov Foundation had a successful presence at Bear Valley Mountain for the Annual Safety Week.The Foundation had a booth with tee-shirts, stickers, books, brochures, hand outs and safety DVD to help educate people about snow sports safety and awareness. The Foundation Safety DVD “To Send It Safe Educate Yourself”  futures safety tips from Professional Snowboarder John Jackson, Bear Valley Terrain Park Manager Mike Schimke and Bear Valley Ski Patrol Director Mattly Trent. The presenation of the safety video with the lecture by the Mountain Guide and Avalanche Educator Paul Henrickson made a great impact to the audience of kids and parents.

This was our first snow sports safety event. It was a extra special day because it was Nicks Birthday.
